Getting out and about
I thought excersing was suppossed to give you more energy, well I've obviously been mislead because this morning i feel like crap.
I like to think i am fairly active although not as active as i should be, so in the last few weeks kayla and i have stepped it up a gear.
Deva And Kayla on the hike.
We went hiking on Mt Tam in Marin which was more like trailing running up and down a gorge than the gentle hike i was prepared for but that's another story... which I forgot to write about.
We joined the local gym, well kayla joined weeks ago and i joined it last weekend.
I have been out on my bike a lot more than normal, 50 miles in the last week on two rides, 10 miles midweek and a 40 mile ride yesterday which explains the sore limbs today. Some folks from work invited me to ride a local route that is called paradise loop, with a name like that I had expected it to be a gentle
ride stopping for coffee or maybe brunch along the route. I was wrong.
We met at the warming hut by the base of the golden gate bridge and the fact that several of my colleagues had shaved legs and were wearing team colors should of tipped me off that this was going to be a social ride at pace. I managed to stay just in contact for 40 miles but then I hit the wall hard and had to back of gracefully by catching the ferry home from Sausalito to San Francisco, next time I might be able to finish and I'll remember to put on some sunblock.

It woke me up
No not my snoring but a 4.2 earthquake, not the first one I have felt since I have moved here but the it was the strongest one so far, enough to wake me up and shake me about as I lay in my bed.
According to the reports it was only a 4.2 on the Richter scale but because it was shallow it was easy to feel the effects which I can attest to. In fact it felt like someone was shaking my bed around.

TheSimpsonsMovie
I've never loved the Simpsons, in fact I used to find the yellow characters annoying - why couldn't they just colour them in pink? But I have grown to really like them (maybe because my father has become to resemble Homer) and I really love all of the advertising around the new film. I especially like the make the Simpsons Avatar section... click to play for yourself. mmm donuts.

We are hiring
Mccann in San Francisco is hiring for all digital positions, drop me a line if you are looking for a new job in a growing agency - it's kind of fun and you might not have work with me if you don't really want to ;)

Yawn
Hello blog friends - I'm not sure if you still exist or still visit this barren blog. I as I awake from one of the longest and deepest work comas that I ever had it feels like I have been hibernating which is far from the truth. In fact sleep had been in short supply let me explain:
I volunteered for a job at work that included a three night film shoot in LA which was very tiring but did include five nights (or should that be days because we slept during the day) at the Ritz. Once that was 'in the can' (see how I pick this film making lingo up) we then headed back to SF to edit this sucker and that's when it got difficult because we had a very aggressive (account person lingo) schedule (producer lingo). Lots of long days and short nights but it's done now and we can sleep.
Although for some reason I awoke at 3.30 this morning and can't go back to sleep, so I am waiting for the sun to rise so I can get out on my bike and burn of some the calories that I gained during the production.
