Two

I'm quite amazed how many people I know at this conference and even more amazed how many of them pointed out that I looked dog rough this morning (and I thought I was taking it easy last night).

One and counting

So far one night and one stinking hangover. Montreal really is a party town...

Forced to stop

Happybdaydad (that's the old man btw.)

Damn its been two weeks since I have entered anything in The Laconic (living up to the name if nothing else!). It has been mad busy, scratch that it is just mad. Work demands have increased and so has the social leaving me with little time to sleep let alone blog. (no complaining though - thats why I am here)

I went to a Jazz club last Saturday night, nice. To see what I consider to be the best live performance of any music that I have seen. Okay so I was well on my way to being very drunk, bee bop. The evening started in a Italian restaurant at approx. 8pm and ended at 4.30am in my friends apartment playing pool and darts, sweet.

Needless to say I had a storming hangover (I later confirmed that all 10 of us had storming hangovers) which left me in a state that I couldn't even look at a computer screen all day.

The work and partying continues even this weekend, I'm now sitting in La Guardia Airport waiting for my flight to Montreal where I am on a work conference for 6 days, should be fun :) So giving me a chance to blog. I wonder how many hangovers this trip will generate...

Week end

I was a little unwell this weekend and this time it wasn't self inflicted. I've had some kind of virus, which laid me low all weekend, too ill to even get on my mac.

So I didn't get to congratulate Sian and Iain who were married on Saturday. Congratulations I hope you had a great day and I wish I could be there with you both, I'm waiting for the photos...

Which brings me to September the 11th in New York city, which was much quieter and subdued affair than I thought it was going to be. I've given up watching the local television so I didn't really see anything via traditional media.

I could see the twin lights that we shown from the world trade centre light but probably the biggest indication that it was September the eleventh was the seeing quite a few drunk firefighters as I walked back to my apartment On Saturday evening, Its hard to understand what they must of been through and are still experiencing to this day.

arrggghhhhhh

I'm supposed to be watching the tennis now, but I'm not there. Aggassi is playing Federrer and it looks great.

It has rained all day and we checked the weather forecast at 5.30 and the radar said rain and even the wind direction said continued rain, even the US Open website said rain delay. And now somehow they are playing.

Breathe in, breathe out. I'm am not annoyed.

fuck it I am really pissed off. bastards.

Tickets, tickets, tickets

beastieboystck

This week has been slightly mad but highly enjoyable. I have also received three sets of tickets this week:

1. My ticket for Montreal, for business of course :) I fly out on saturday (three weeks on saturday that is) morning at 9am and return to New York on the following Thursday, I'm really looking forward to it. I love Canada.

2. I also received my tickets for The Beastie Boys, I'm so looking forward to it.

3. US Open tickets. Yes one of the account team who worked on the project phoned me up yesterday as asked which day I would like, after a small discussion with Simon my copywriter, we plumped for Wednesday evening, lets hope they are good tickets.

I find it quite ironic that I lived so near Wimbledon for five years and never went, and now I get to go to a grand slam event.

But before I get to go to any of these events I have this (long 4 day) weekend to contend with.

Fraser and Julita (friends from London office who now live in Toronto) are staying with me for Labor day weekend. Looking forward to a weekend of fun and Stella Artois.

oh I almost forgot I am also have tickets to see Franz Ferdinand on Thursday night :)

Too many cops

There are too many of them, in the beginning it was funny to see 100 cops cycling past in formation now it just bores me.

I'm also bored of the whole convention thing, I wish all the narrow minded fools would all fuck off back to the middle of America and leave New York be.
